think about it, how many teens in asian countries and even western ones are obsessed with kpop and love/like south korea and koreans?

b)panem et circenses:
the same exists in western pop, pretty faces, sexy/cute dances and catchy songs. in south korea this concept is brought to the extreme, music videos are incredibly detailed and have a very high production value. plus all the idol/group appearances in variety shows, etc... it's something you can be entertained by 24/7
