it was okay. I don't care for the first half, because joey's better on darker beats. Statik Selektar's song was boring, Raise the Alarm was the best track. props to joey for sticking to his message for most of the album.

It's sad to see one of rap's most promising MCs make at trash album. This is coming from a beastcoast and pro era fan since 2012. I guess listening to joey and beastcoast was just a phase. God damn was it a nice phase of my life

You can't be a conscious rapper and make mumble rap, lyrics are the most important part of conscious rap.
Almost every song on the album is exactly the same thematically, which would be alright if every song were executed in a different way, but they sound the same too. The melodies and production aren't very noteworthy.

so far its alright but its boring as fuck musically, he's doing that nu-jazzap that was prevalent last year

Ive listened to the whole thing and the best verse is either the last verse on the entire album or Schoolboy Q's verse or Joeys verses on babylon.

actually the second half of the album is the stronger half, its musically stronger and more diverse although the 6th track has the most interesting instrumental, lyrically the second half has all the best lyrics and a stronger point to the songs

a lot of the album sounds like its borrowed from kendrick though. from the boring jazzy instrumentation on some of the songs and the beat switchup on babylon. Y u no love me was done better by kendrick on For Free?

overall this album is alright, i give it a 7-8/10, its decently listenable and i hope to hear more.
