The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway [Atco, 1974]
I wanted to call this the most readable album since Quadrophenia, but it's only the wordiest--two inner sleeves covered with lyrics and a double-fold that's all small-type libretto. I got nothing. Been listening to this a lot lately, at this point I don't know/care what the hell the concept is, but the music is brilliant and the songs flow seamlessly from one to the next. Very satisfying record, I love it.

Bummer. First time I listened to it I didn't get passed the title track, which is probably still my least favorite. For whatever reason I gave it another shot one night while I was working on artwork for a flyer and I definitely liked it enough to give it my undivided attention a 3rd time, which was when I really started to get into it.
Phil Collins' drumming is based af in this album
