she's a very versatile singer with crazy range and technical skill, and here she's mostly playing around with tape loops and the manipulation of her own voice as an instrument- it's basically an album of vocal/electronic experiments
desu the material of hers which i find most interesting or affecting is stuff like plague mass, which is a lot more focused because it's trying to directly convey and channel the grotesque horror/tragedy/degradation of witnessing the AIDS epidemic unfold
