Vinces verses on Ascension are really solid, that chorus is terrible. All together not my favorite but it's growing on me.

Andromeda would be the best track of the singles if the drum machine track weren't actual garbage.

Saturns Barz, while obviously not the crowd favorite, it's going to be the most popular song off the album I bet. Also, my favorite of the singles because I actually like the side of gorillaz that stems from reggae and dub.

We Got the Power is just kind of disappointing.


ALL OF THIS of course needs to be taken with the perspective that we don't have any context of how they'll fit in the album. So imo ultimately all these opinions are moot until further notice.

I dunno, but the theme of the song seems to be spending your life getting material goods and debt and ignoring what would be making you happy. 2D's part seems to be about a love he once had and lost, the Saturn's about to make love could be a nonsense sentence, which Gorillaz is prone to do because it sounds nice, but it's clear he's a heartbreaker because of his focus on obtaining material goods.

This part is actually really sad and drives the point home
