ITT: Anhedonia-core
What are more albums that perfectly exemplify the feeling of not enjoying anything and/or lacking the motivation to do anything?
This hits home for my schizoid ass.
Welp. I guess I've become so anhedonic that this finally clicked for me
bump. get numb fucked in your skull by the mad noise.

harsh noise and onkyo
>>71808242
The vaporwave album of /mu/.
The kind where we could say "I could do that" but we don't.
The kind of band that just has the kind of information you like to spout with self-satisfaction.
>>71808300
never even attempted to get into harsh noise before, where should I start?
I know it's kinda a literalist interpretation of depression but imo purist HNW is the best musical description of severe depression

I'm not a fan of it but While You Were Out seems to be a good starting point for most people
>>71808356
aube would be a good starting point for proper noise, he's got more of a sense of structure than most. check out cardiac strain, sigh in depressive blue, and blood brain barrier
>>71808356
laptop era merzbow, stuff like marmo or amlux, his analog stuff might be too harsh at first
kevin drum seems like a relatively accessible choice
>>71808390
listening to Cardiac Strain now, this is actually way more interesting than I thought it was gonna be
>>71808363
yeah, when I was suicidal I listened to harsh noise more than anything else at that time. now most of it just sounds like shit
>>71808679
i'm glad you're liking it, aube is probably my favorite noise artist. you should note that each of his albums comes from a single sound source that he then manipulates. cardiac strain is from heartbeats, SiDB is from lung recordings, and BBB is from sonifications of EEG data
Kid A
>>71808840
that's nuts, even if I don't end up liking every album that concept is still awesome
this second song is making my tinnitus very unhappy
>>71806488
I actually got some of these feelings from blonde. Anyone else?
>>71808300
Never could get the whole harsh noise or "depression is extreme noise thing" but >>71808363 is extremely comfy.
>>71808888
Nice quads. Kid A is a pretty accurate representation of the existential vaccuum as described by Frankl.
>>71808956
Yeah.
