As an Albarn fan, what is so good about Damon Albarn and almost everything he touches?
damon a cute 2bh

He has talent and ambition, unlike those Beatle worshiping fuckboys in Oasis
Blur is pretty shite though for the most part tbf
Gorillaz

OP here, seconded. His arrogance is totally justified.
>>71750572
He has mad versatility and good production and collaboration choices.
>>71750572
Gorillaz is good. His solo stuff is okay. Blur fucking suck ass.
>>71750572
His voice is different from most others if you think about it, you can tell it's the woohoo guy within 5 seconds of hearing something he's singing
he hawt
>>71750572
Even if a song (or album) isnt "good" (to your taste or whatever), it still has a lot of soul and originality, and that counts for something
>>71750572
He was limited by Blur and instead of being the basic frontman of a popular band, stepped out of his comfort zone and boundaries.
I don't know how the fuck he does it but he has a good hand in basically every genre and how he mixes them into good shit is insane.

He should be as loved as much as thom yorke in here. I mean come on this board gives so much fucking time about kpop and death grips shit. Why can't more people recognize albarn as a genius?
He's 50 years old but he can come out with something beautifully modern and likeable to everyone and even younger people, that's something that you don't see everyday in 50 year old artists.

Even Damon says this

Think tank is awesome, blur self titled has some early gorillaz grungy charm and 13 is very intimate.
Don't hate blur for being less poppy sometimes.
He's a great mastermind. He's just really fucking good at bringing a bunch of good artists together and do awesome music
Also, pretty versatile. The guy is behind tracks like Tender, Empire Ants and Herculean.
He's an workaholic with a lot of talent.
