REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>71740888
What's your problem?
going to shill this album every day until more people talk about it
I literally made a thread like this, you are going to regret getting rec d hicktown indie trash
>>71740630
tfw they're hangin' me tonight
>>71740249
idk how posted it is though
Fuzao Faye Wong
>>71741510
Use youtube to check albums and go with what you like also ignore the ones you don’t find interesting, its how it has always worked here new friend
>>71741406
It's mu core already
>>71740864
>>71740888
>>71740981
Now this is how we should all respond when Car Seat Headrest gets posted
>>71740249
this always get me going
>>71741599
That's what I did and half the albums where some guy's family members band or their little brother s death metal band. Luckily I got some gems in there I really like
nobody seems to care about the national here, I fucking love em
top 5 album for me
>>71741406
jay reatard rules
I know that this popularized by normies and lyrics are bad but music is amazing
>>71741725
also i'm aware they're not super niche or anything like that, they're just never discussed
in a similar vein here's more top "stagnant life depression-core
>>71741725
I make quite a few threads about them but usually the only responses I get are ones bashing their latest album.
Their discography was the only thing I listened to for a long time.
>>71740864
fuck the haters. 10/10 album
>inb4 muh next funeral
>>71741750
ah man I must be missing them
yeah same, i don't know any other band where i like their entire body of work
going through a break-up right now though so physically cannot listen to them, too much relatable depression
what's your favourite album of their's anon?
>>71741734
tfw you remember when youth lagoon was posted on /mu/ daily
>>71741725
not him but i think i gotta go with High Violet. some of my favorite album art too.
>>71741887
oh i meant to reply to >>71741843
>>71741717
I'm happy you did anon
>>71741406
Usually when people talk about the best garage rock albums, this is the one they bring up the most. Although /mu/ doesn't like a lot of garage rock.
>>71741843
Probably Violet. The first song I've ever heard from them was Exile Vilify, and I saw England next to it in the recommended. High Violet just has this weird foggy beautiful atmosphere to it that's really hard to explain. It's the first album that made me go "holy fuck music is amazing and i need more", so I think it's the single reason I have a taste in music at all. I'd probably be one of those "i don't really listen to music" people had I not come across it.
I haven't found an album that's impacted me like that since, and I'm not sure I ever will.
Seriously one of the best post 2000 albums and everyone just talks about the single
If people actually listen to this album instead of going all "it's pop punk, into the trash it goes", they would see why Green Day it's actual a respectable band (at least before American Idiot came they were)
Don't get why people don't talk about this album too...I guess there aren't many Brits here and the brits that are here love grime for some reason
>>71741984
>it's pop punk
aren't they not even punk
Every Blur album.
People just discard them because of Song 2 and their involvement in the Britpop scene, but they have the most solid discography in comparison with any other 90's group.
I am the only person that loves Love Battery??
>>71741945
i was familiar with The National for years and liked a couple songs by them but dismissed them as monotonous. then like 5 years ago someone here on /mu/ was talking about impactful "Sorrow" was and i listened to it and loved it and downloaded High Violet and that's all i listened to for months.
i totally get why people find them boring but they're on of those bands that when they "click" they click hard.
>>71742002
Is the weakest from The Kinks golden era (66-70). Something Else and Arthur were better.
>>71740496
go to bed, turny
>>71742068
No way, Arthur was a good story yeah but it didn't capture the essence of old England quite like this album
>>71741406
Actually recorded some covers of his songs not long ago 2bh
Talkdemonic - Beat Romantic
>>71742105
I don't know, Village Green felt like a Ray Davies solo album. While the ones I said I think show The Kinks in the top of their game as a band.
>>71742039
As I said, listen to the album before judging its scene and fanbase
>>71741962
But that single was everywhere , I'll give this a listen in a bit
I swear I never see anyone else on the internet who likes these guys.
this album doesn't get enough love
>>71742047
I know a guy who does
Heldon- Electronique Guerrilla
Ajax - Ajax
>>71742194
Yeah I suppose I can see where you're coming from, I think Something Else definitely was the peak of the playing as a band, if you get what I mean. However as an album Village Green just was the perfect combination of everything to me.
>>71742313
I know it was, it's almost like they shot themselves in the foot with how big the single was!!
>>71740630
hahaha :)) breaking bad :))) saw this album on reddit too friend, epic :))
>>71742649
sam beam's album with jesca hoop last year was p good too
>>71741962
damn, I wish the other tracks were just as loved
Used to be posted frequently years ago, still a good album
it's the elvis depressedly guy
Trapo - Shade Trees
I love this so much
>>71742616
Wasn't this a collab between someone and This Will Destroy You?
Anyway Peaceable Child is great.
>>71742707
Only listened to Wolves so far but I should listen to the rest.
>>71742920
Eluvium collab with the guitarist from Explosions in the Sky
>>71742724
he's fucking great, not too keen on Dark Bird is Home though honestly, not my thing
>>71742951
Ah right, wrong third wave post rock band. Though Eluvium is good too.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xCHTwbXvyU
>>71742978
Yeah they all understandably get lumped in together. I think Inventions is far enough away from all that though, it's worth a listen.
study-core
>>71742874
I see this posted very couple days along with goreshit
>>71743141
Why you want /mu/ to ruin this ?
>>71741887
p4k shilled this and yet noone listened to it FeelsBadMan
no cover art is Vom - Live at Surf City
LIaARD - LIZARD
>japanese post-punk
>>71743333
Lizard - Lizard *
sorry I fucked up
>>71741434
Thanks anon The Bots are really nice enjoying this album
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsbR2dEmHGc
you've been cheating and telling me lies x
you've been creeping while im sleeping at night
and you've been chasing every girl in sight
you've been messing around and lying down and its over now !! !
>>71740249
This is so much better than you can imagine
>>71742067
(not the same anon) I agree, almost every one of their albums has been a grower for me. I can't decide whether I like Boxer or High Violet more. I like Alligator and TWFM as well, but I think it's either Boxer or HV for the top spot.
>>71743049
I still love this album, but everyone makes fun of the band like they were an overhyped one-album P4K-generated buzzband now :(
>>71740374
this is great
cheers for sharing anon
>>71742669
Best Death Grips album
>>71742042
I've only listened to Parklife so far because it was the only album from them i found a download for, and desu that album has a bit of filler, but I still want to listen to their discography eventually (Been a huge Gorillaz fan for years so I gotta give Blur the chance they deserve)
Girls & Boys is a god-tier song. That fucking bass line holy shit
https://soundcloud.com/reptilebrain
https://reptilebrain.bandcamp.com/
I found this on an ambient chart and although, it's not necessarily ambient, it's really fucking good. Very thoughtful instrumentation, powerful and evocative. I wish I could find more like it
>>71743901
yummy ;)
>>71742770
Nice. Although there is some filler on it, like with every PJ album except Ten and Vs.
noeone posting tws
shm fampai
>>71744026
listening for the first time right now
seems beautiful
melodic and summer idm/downtempo, i love it.
This is maybe my favorite album and I've never seen it mentioned here. Hell I hardly ever see Stars of the Lid mentioned recently (and Adam is in both)
>>71742645
saved
>>71740707
those are 90s remixes of 80s tracks
I love this one. It's super cozy.
Better late than never
Can't say I've seen this on /mu/ before (maybe once or twice), but this albums has grown to become one of my favourites.
Fuck there are too many responses in here, wish it was just a fucking list of all of these albums , hate having to reverse image search all of them
>>71744133
some people don't like the 80s sound but I enjoy the mixture of synths, cello, and guitar. to me it's morose, nostalgic and dark, perfect for watching fog rolling in over the city while the full moon shines and you're contemplating life
>>71744525
Seen this on here a few times, it's good though, would recommend
>>71741406
my shadow is goat song desu
This
Tbh this is a great, atmospheric album. Love the sound Matt Elliot has
>>71742167
I like Talkdemonic. They kinda remind me of Do Make Say Think
>>71744333
Nice trips, nice album.
>>71744273
AWVFTS is so great. Always puts me at peace
>>71741962
Smiley Faces is fucking GOAT. Lots of good shit on this. The Odd Couple is pretty good too, a bit more soul vibe.
>>71745771
Matt Elliott is bloody amazing live
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfMCzT3q0_c
>>71744104
Jack is hotter than Meg and i'm not even gay.
>>71742042
this true, Blur is awesome.they blow every other britpop band out of the water
>>71744028

>>71741671
What is this?
>>71740630
It's the only country album talked about on /mu/
>>71744402
yea boi
>>71747666
Yesssss
also hail satan
>>71742391
This does surprise me. Husker Du is pretty well respected around here so you would think a great Bob Mould project would get similar attention.
Literally the best Tears For Fears album.
>>71748066
Nah, Songs From the Big Chair is better
There was actually a surprising 2 people that knew about this when I last posted it
>>71741813
I like the album too, i dont give a shit
>>71740864
weak bait
>>71748558
Good album, my friend saw him in japan and has a physical copy
>>71742724
all of his albums after this are mediocre, so it kind of made people forget just how good this is
>>71746293
lmao is this a joke
Nana Grizol- Ruth
>>71747744
Incredible symphonic electronic prog(?) from South Africa. Beautiful vocals.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Om8rTpaCIsY
>>71744054
Me too anon, love myself some campy synth-pop
>>71748102
Agreed
>>71742582
>>71748702
very nice ones
There's so much god damn music I haven't listened to its hard to believe
>>71740864
>dude drugs, depression, and insecurity lmao
>>71749281
it actually inspires me how much I have left to hear. music is such a beautiful medium
try this one I think you'd like it. it's existential folk music
>>71749451
damn this should be /mu/core. great album
The least talked about AnCo Song ever.
Vashti Bunyan does amazing after a 30 year hiatus.
>>71749083
Learning Forgetfulness is GOAT
i love this album and never see it posted
Maybe I'm just blind as shit (or haven't looked at enough fav. album charts), but I never see anyone talk about Soul Coughing
This band has gotten me through tough times. Absolutely love them.
Never really knew or cared to ask /mu/'s opinion on this album or Crowded House in general, but I really enjoy it/them.
This is so good and so different than the rest of their discography.
>>71750788
the whole thing, not just air and earth right?
>>71750878
Yeah. The whole thing, but I'm too lazy to find a picture of it.
>>71741984
I agree. People dismiss Green Day's early work far too easily. Pretty much everything before American idiot is fine. After Nimrod it starts to get questionable, but its still pretty good.
"duhhh buhh in the meantime was their only good song" - you, a fucking IDIOT
All of Silver Mt. Zion's stuff doesn't get talked about enough. But I assume it's because they're often overshadowed by GYBE. Understandably.
Also Foals. They're probably just too "normie" for /mu/. I don't hail them as the pinnacle of all music by any means, but Total Life Forever & Holy Fire are so good to listen too
>>71750416
Baleen Sample is the only shining star here i m o.
I just don't like her voice
Its not talked about enough
>>71740249
seems like I'm the only one listens to Igorrr in this board
This is the best art rock album of the decade. Prove me wrong.
>>71741746
good album
Mansions- Dig Up The Dead
>>71751482
Good shit, especially their first two
>>71751680
Is this bait? Literally gets mentioned everytime someone posts Venetian snares
>>71751604
It's /mu/ rap-core
>>71740249
Just found out about this one recently but it's already a favorite
a saddening lack of obscure albums from the old sharethreads
>>71748715
you know a couple years ago I felt like nana grizol was brought up pretty often in indie threads. I like ruth a lot more than love it love it.
Best album I have found through YouTube suggestions.
I hardly see TD here
>>71747648
this
Surprised this doesn't get more love considering this board never shuts the fuck up about Sweet Trip
Awake On A Train is definitely one of the best songs of all time
>>71741367
Oh fuck yes AOTY 2015
Dan's a pretty basic producer but the songs are good enough to make up for it
>>71748082
was just gonna post this, listened to it for the first time yesterday and it blew my mind
this
>>71754320
and this
Their first two albums are god tier.

>>71748715
>>71752758
rec the fuck outta these
I don't think I've ever seen someone who likes grand buffet but they are the best thing ever
this desu
Fucking good thread mates, going to download them all and listen to them on the weekend.
We should continue these threads but it would be good to have even a bit of copypasta or just a genre for the album, just as a heads up.
Also, max image limit reached.
>>71754460
Compile it , I'm on mobile and it's 4:00 am where I'm At
>>71741406
Jay is pure. Please no shill
