If you want ambient with piano you could argue that lots of modern classical could be considered ambient due to how minimal it is at times. I would recommend checking out something like Sylvain Chauveau, especially his classic Des plumes dans la tête or even Nils Frahm - Felt. If you want to move into something more just pure piano defiantly check out Edvard Grieg.

However if you want something more completely/traditionally ambient, you should check out Libary Tapes, my personally favourite album from them is Sun Peeking Through since i like how it's pretty noisy at times but Fragments is their most popular album and is also great. Try to get your hands on either one of those.

Way back in like 2014 they did a live show at Redstar Union of which ~31 minutes was broadcast over the internet (the rest was omitted). I kept the tab open to basically abuse it and record everything that was there. I've had it sat on my hdd for a while, it's possibly(?) the longest official-quality recording of any of their live stuff complete with percussion. Since the full recording was never put up and the highlights have since been taken down, I suppose this is the only freely available copy. Thought it might be nice to share.
