I FUCKING HATE EMO MUSIC

I guarantee at least 25% of this board finds some sort of enjoyment in the rhythmically monotonous, lyrically insipid music of bands like the Hotelier and Snowing and Brand New and it makes me fucking sick. My roommate (who acts like a sheltered nu male suburbanite in every other way you could fathom) blasts emo music in my apartment every day and I am at my wit's end.

How is it that emo musicians find so much energy to whine SO PASSIONATELY about breakups in every single song. There is no catharsis in this awful form of music. If you listen to emo reevaluate your taste please. I'm serious.
