>5 years have passed
>I wonder if I've outgrown Coheed?
>Nope.
Is Coheed actually just good?
Like timeless good? or...
Is my shit taste incurable?
I love Coheed

They are great, OP

I was literally just thinking about how much I like this album. I used to think In Keeping Secrets was my favorite but I'm not so sure anymore.
Expectations for the neverender?
The Willing Wells are like like, a really good example of ideal progressive rock.

Swap No World For Tomorrow with the tier before it.
Their sound around their mid career is pretty timeless, hasn't dated at all
I think they're great
Grew out of coheed sometime ago, or more less got burned out on them.
Had a band once and every member ever in it was obsessed with coheed, so naturally everything we played had to sound like coheed and most of the covers we had to play were coheed...They were also dirt poor, didn't have reliable transportation or decent gear (sometimes no gear at all cause lol had to sell it to move to the beach man)
I'm sure we'd still be playing shows if they all liked something even remotely more tasteful (like Radiohead) as much as they did for coheed.

Forgot the reason for this anecdote. Yeah OP if you're anything like my friends then your taste has probably peaked.

Here's to the great decline then!
>finished with coheed album
>Stricken - Disturbed
>Baba Yetu - Christopher Tin
>Rhodesians Never Die - Clem Tholet
>No Rain - Blind Melon
>Respect for the Dead Man - Pay Money to My Pain
>Funky Dealer - Hideki Naganuma
>Have You Forgotten? - Darryl Worley
>Legionnaire's Lament - The Decemberists
>Clarity - Zedd
>American Pie - Don McLean
>Piano Man - Billy Joel
That's as far as my playlist had gotten. Today... I don't listen to shuffle I kind of just branch on youtube.

This is accurate. The albums in the low tier have a handful of good songs

if you want a more refined taste you need to start studying albums as a whole
>>71688135
Man glad I'm not the only one who rates No Word For Tomorrow this high, seems it's generally considered one of their weaker albums by most fans
>>71688135
while the brain meme is ironic, you used it for the objectively sincerely correct ranking, is this some sort of meta-irony?

I almost got the keywork on my forearm, but I bitched out at the pain of getting a tattoo done.
I feel ya OP. I outgrew most of their stuff, like The Second Stage Turbine Blade does nothing for me, songs like Hearshot Kid Disaster just sound cheesy and kinda messy, but I'd be lying if I said In Keeping Secret Of Silent Earth 3 isn't one of my all time favorite albums
