It's labelled "post-rock".
>>71678105
I mean... I guess I can kinda see it.

Was there an actual criticism you had of the song? Or an explanation of what post-rock is, and why this band doesn't fit in it?

Post-rock is a sub-genre in which guitars rely on textured sounds rather than riffs, creative drums and bass that aren't just background against vocals. It's also derivative of ambient music. My take on it is that the instrumentals are focused in a way that they make up for lack of vocals, that vocals aren't needed because the music itself gets the point (emotion, sound in general, etc.) across adequately without them.
The music you posted sounded more like progressive rock/metal bordering on hardcore and powercore fusion. It wasn't exactly bad, just seemed irrelevant.
Here's a good example of post-metal:

Note how heavily textured the sounds are, particularly the guitar, which create that atmosphere post-rock and post-metal are attributed to.

Also, shoegaze sometimes crosses into post-rock and vice-versa.
Here's one example of that. Sadly, this group never got the exposure it deserved.

That was one of the few songs Earthside does that has vocals. The songs that put them under "post-rock" are more like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AL_v5U2AeIs

Okay, I definitely heard it then, sorry for being a prick earlier.

It's cool, I didn't choose the best song. I just gotta have my Bjorn.
