koopsta knicca - da devil's playground
>>71655140
The remastered version is much much worse it's not even funny
>>71655140
wait is this album actually good music?
i thought it was just some funny shitty meme cover
>>71655300
yea this album is actually really great
>>71655300
It's a great post-rock/shoegaze album. Not a fan of the gospel themes but it's worth a listen
are there alt covers out there? i honestly cant bring myself to put that monstrosity in my library
>>71655421
here you go buddy
>>71655469
gee thanks
>>71655140
are you fucking kidding me
that cover is fucking sweet
Dude proportions lmao
>>71655421
it's the only album I purposefully don't have tagged with a cover in foobar
>>71655140
>>71655275
The cover is a joke dude. The album is about Jesus descending from the heavens and making the band popular in exchange for them spreading the Gospel and the word about the imminent second coming that will be taking place in Texas. How could you have a serious cover with that concept?
>>71655775
doesn't have to be a serious cover, just a good one
even then it doesn't "have to", but you get the point
Very true
>>71655827
It IS a good cover. It matches the outlandishness of the album concept perfectly. That being said, the reissue does a much better job at conveying the joke by making it even more stupid.
>>71655564
It reminds me of MySpace imo
2/10 cover
9/10 album
>>71655564
That's a great cover.
>>71655775
it's also an homage to Pen and Pixel, the studio who does all those gaudy 90s southern rap covers, who came from the band's native Texas.

>Job For a Cowboy
>9/10
>>71657430
Yes, that's correct
Either you don't like death metal and you have no place commenting, or you can't get over their deathcore beginnings and give them a legitimate chance to realize they have become top-tier tech/prog death
>>71655775
They probably lost a lot of sales and recognition that they rightfully deserved because they decided to make their magnum opus look like a joke.
>>71655140
that cover is better than the album
>>71657472
That's one reason yes. Josh says that Americans didn't get the joke while the Brits loved it. But also because Guthrie and Raymonde ended up fucking them over with a hasty production job and the band didn't have the money to fly over there and oversee it.

That's a great cover.
>listening to this for first time
>get to last track
>29:05
>length and intro get me hype for some kind of noisy half hour long post rock opus
>actually just 10 minutes long followed by 15 minutes of silence and a hidden track
>>71657927
same
>>71657927
>>71657948
I mean it was a really good 10 minutes to be fair but had the track length been shortened, I wouldn't have been disappointed.
>>71657423
Houston hip-hop was a mistake
>>71657463
Even the deathcore EP is pretty decent desu
I barely even touch death metal nowadays but JFAC surprisingly still holds up for me
