Their music sounds contrived and insincere to me. Sounds really cool at first but loses its schtick fast. The rice krispie parody video actually perfectly shows why.

They're okay though, Gospel of John Hurt is a great jam. Just overrated.

I think the contrivedness makes the music. The songs line up to tell a story about someone who murders his wife. It's meant to be a bit mad. I think their albums are best enjoyed in context and in order, not just singled out songs.
