Catchy as anything

It would be good if it wasn't for the production. And some of the pop singles don't fit the narrative.
>>71621642
>guilty pleasure
most of /mu/ likes this album, OP
>>71621751
this was my jam like 8 years ago. I listened to it like a year ago. Many songs are great, but i'm not sure they work well between them. I wished they would keep making music like AI, and not enything that was released after it.

I know, anon, but back then, when i had the appropiate age for the mcr phase, i was a green day boy, and i felt like i couldn't like both. I'm 20 now, and after two years of being a damn mu snob, i've got to like it.
>>71621823
>>71621782
Yea the album doesn't have much flow but they're all pretty good songs
think it's probably his best production wise, lyrically it does pale in comparison to wold (which is also good, goblin and bastard are not)
Fall Out Boy - From Under The Cork Tree
You guys are way too hard on this album.
>>71621973
Has like 2 good songs
going by rym this probably falls in "guilty pleasure" territory, but i don't see them posted here ever
they're great at what they do though, they followed Refused and HORSE but managed to create an identity entirely their own and a new microgenre on top of that. if nothing else i love them for their wide-eyed, enthusiastic spirit, how they manage to balance serious with silliness, how they (almost) never write a song twice and yeah, it's hella catchy
>>71622103
i usually rely in rym when getting into a new band, but it is very relative. I wouldn't really trust the site's opinion on a band that is likely to get a lot of snob-hate. It is useful like 99% of the times, tho
>>71621642
its okay
>>71621751
really bad and cancer production
like two good songs
>>71621930

First half is great
>>71622136
This album is prolly 9/10, even if the rest of their stuff blows.
>>71622200
No
>>71622217
MSI is good
>>71622217
>First half is great
this is actually legitimately terrible but i still like it fsr
>>71622136
its one single fault is that it's still loosely associated with punk when it shouldn't be at all
>>71622136
Emo dance pop with SCATHINGLY passive-agressive lyrics about narcissism and mania, presented in a hectic, manic, and narcissistic fashion.
It's legitimately wonderful.

Don't forget >>71621751
>>71622297
Can't redeem the meh of the rest of Side B, but it's a very good song. MM just has way better ones, and superfluous horns were kinda gimmicky even in 2007, believe it or not.

Smuckers is a guilty pleasure 2bh.

>>71622603
consider the time those albums were released
other than cherry bomb
>>71622214
Literally their worst album besides count your blessings. That's some bad taste m8
>>71622136
Seconding this. It's like the Trout Mask Replica of emo.
Fuck you /mu/
This is a work of art and you just refuse to see it because it doesn't fit your narrative.
i really regret liking oasis
>>71622701
At least it's not Blur
>>71622699
i see
>Trout Mask Replica of x
lost its meaning
>>71621973
Better than Good News desu senpai
>>71622103
Yo! It's always crazy to see another Shikari fan. I've had their first three albums in my playlist for years now.
I kinda fell out after Flash flood, but I've been getting back in lately. Thinking about seeing them in a couple weeks at Dallas.
>>71622603
>not knowing that /mu/ loves MCR's first 2 (sometimes 3) albums
get out

welcome to /mu/, we're all posers

No one I know knows MSI and are generally out of their edgy phase. But I'll love MSI until I die
kodak black, migos, etc
>>71622779

>>71622798
panic at the frisco, what?
>>71623317
He's still right
Is it true anons on /mu/ don't like this? or did I get trolled
either way, fuck you this album (and their others) are great
>>71623377
rites of spring is the only real emo band anyways
>>71623402
it's contemporary mainstream-but-not-alternative alternative rock
so they hate it
but it's good. they're all good
>>71623445
they all who?
>>71623633
they (you)
>>71622701
Wonderwall being overplayed and generic gives this album more hate then it deserves.
>>71623173
that's the point, shitty bands/albums that you enjoy.
are you legitimately retarded?
>>71623779
Honestly it's good to enjoy some objectively not great albums. I didn't always have autism-tier taste but I did always love music the same amount. This album helped me through being a depressed high schooler so I'll always love it even if it isn't the greatest.
>>71622125
wrong
>>71622190
halfway decent for one playthrough then absolute trash
blue or green
