Zappa had great stuff scattered around '67, as well. And of course there are others, but this is definitely the best year for rock music.

TVU are incredibly fun, though. And the Doors are great as well. Piper was PF's best, it got "progressively" worse from there. Beefheart was better than Love. Zappa's work in that year was better than the Beatles' output, but I was making more of a list of notables.
