and, let's be honest, becoming rich and famous (especially a sudden "big break") will expose people to corrupt, greedy leeches behind the scene, obsessive/shitty/intrusive fans on a regular basis while doing their job, and have to deal with/worry about acquaintances/family going to media/news outlets with personal details for $, steal from you, or just be an all around manipulative, mooching cunt. by the time they're 45 a lot of celebs have been drinking themselves numb for so many years that it stymied their ability to think/feel/express like they used to.
