Frequency response is the frequencies a stereo can possibly reproduce (lowest bass and highest treble) as well as how loud various frequencies are in relation to each other. You can't really the change the former without buying new equipment, but you can adjust the latter with your equalizer settings. Figure out which system you like better and try to adjust the other's sound to match it
