>pay for mp3s
>just get the mp3 files
>torrent mp3s
>get mp3s, booklet and cd scans
thanks for combating piracy, music industry
Bandcamp is the only place I buy files from and they include booklets etc if th musician wants.

True, but it's not always the case. At least you get all the formats in one purchase, whereas other stores usually offer lossless at an increased price.
I only pay for live music and merch sold at those gigs.
I only support independent artists.

Amazon does this pretty well by often including free mp3 downloads with a lot of the audio cd purchases. I still personally would rather have an actual hard copy of albums I just somehow feel more connected to an album when it an actual item i can hold rather than some data on a sd card.

WOW WHAT A CONCEPT
Do you work for free as well?

Same here for the most part.
I've started buying a lot more, but only what really means a lot to me and I think the artist could use the support. There are albums on bandcamp I like with over 200+ supporters, so I'd probably opt for the one with only 8 if I was in a position to buy.

I used to do this as well.
>Order several CDs from Amazon
>Box arrives in perfect condition
>Open it
>The CD cases are smashed and the top of the CDs have damage from the plastic
Amazon has massively gone downhill.

if you pay for digital content you should honestly just end your life. the only exception is smaller bandcamp artists
at least get something tangible for your money
