What genres or albums require high end hi-fi headphones or speakers to get the most out of them? Black metal, lo-fi and probably vaporware would sound alright on my poorfag earbuds but listening to something with heavy or glossy instrumentals like MBDTF feels like I'm missing out on so much.

Are you LITERALLY retarded? What makes you think you need high end headphones to listen to something that was purposely recorded/mixed/mastered terribly?

Modern heavy Progressive sounds good on high end speakers/headphones. Try some Steven Wilson/Porcupine Tree, Opeth or Riverside
