Don't expect any serious answers from this board infested by people who think GRIMES is the "artist of this century".

More experimental forms of electronic music ranging from Stockhausen to Autechre. Such kind of music isn't bound by any sort of traditional limitation put onto music, being almost completely serial, and this shows in the music itself. But it also at the same time takes a lot of work to put all that in. It's not just the notes and rhythms, but also controlling very minute things like how something a 1 second long sound will sound like when it initially gets played, what it sounds like in the middle of being played, and what it sounds like when it's done playing/leaving the field of sounds. No other kind of music has such meticulous control of what is being listened to (or not listened to.)

Seconding this.

throwing together bunch of stupid noises in specific timing doesn't make it complex or difficult to produce.

there is no musical theory or composition skills even necessary.

nice try tho.

There have been crackheads who've made every style of music. Honestly, this shit isn't hard. You'd just rather face death than put your ego on the line.

Don't expect any serious answers or support to them on this place. It's all gone to shit now.

Nah, making it all work very hard though. It's why it often does sound like just a bunch of stupid random noises because not everyone can make it work.

At least with the likes of classical music for example, there's a set theory/standard way of doing things so it's much easier to make good music. There are also methods of teaching that get these relatively straightforward concepts through pretty well. Not so for experimental electronic music.
