I'm looking for background music for house parties. Nothing very wild, mostly just 3 to 7 people and some gin.
I don't know much about normie music - the only kind of music that can blend into the background - so I'm just looking for inoffensive stuff from the last five years. Non-rap, non-noise, not music that requires drugs, though I don't have a problem with any of those. Also non-rock, because if I'm going to be modern and fashionably normal, I may as well ditch the dadjeans genre. No samples of people mumbling depressing things in interviews.
What do you suggest, /mu/? It's mostly a process of elimination.

This kind of stuff is as unobtrusive as it gets without being completely cheap.

How about playing something good instead of trying to create a safe space for normies?

Four Tet is a suitably banal and inoffensive pick I'd say.
