Alright, I'm back again. I posted this thread way too late last night and all you fucks were asleep.
I'm currently covering Pink Floyd's The Wall in its entirety, only with a much more modern context.
>translation: 8 string guitars tuned drop E
However, there are a few stipulations I've been following.
>no pointless breakdowns just because
>no pointless slowing down of songs
>no pointless speeding up of songs
>no pointless screaming just because
With all that being said, what am I gonna do with Run Like Hell? It's easily one of my least favorite tracks off of the album. It's really just kind of David Gilmour disco jackery.
Any ideas on how to add some flavor without killing the spirit of the original?
Here's a demo of In The Flesh to give you an idea of what I'm doing

bump for "my daddy died in the war" the album
How am I gonna turn a "4 on the floor" disco beat into a crushing arena banger?
I've even been practicing making pouty faces while bending guitar strings for the sake of accuracy.

He wants to make Run Like Hell not suck, while keeping the spirit of the original

rofl my point exactly
RLH is just Gilmour going "look at these nice chrods that don't fit the feel of the rest of the album"
