Glenn Branca - Most of his discography
>noise rock, no wave, minimalism, totalism
As far as I know, this link has far more than any of the previously posted MEGAs. It has everything that's considered an officially released LP from the guy, plus a couple other things.

>The Ascension
>Who Are You Staring At (with John Giorno)
>Symphony No. 1 (Tonal Plexus)

>Symphony No. 5 (Describing Planes Of An Expanding Hypersphere)
>Indeterminate Activity For Resultant Masses

Everything is near or at 320kbps. The exceptions are Who Are You Staring At, The Belly Of An Architect (both low quality) and Symphony No. 13 (I think it's around 272 kbps).

And my personal suggestion when listening to his music: listen closely and at as high a volume as possible as what's really going on underneath the constant repetition with the harmonic overtones can be very subtle!

The album masterfully blends early heavy metal, progressive sensibilities and extremely catchy tune-writing to the extent that oftentimes you simply don't notice how you're headbanging to an odd-time signature groove or how the band effortlessly shifts between song sections. It's a stoner-psych classic.

Extremely inspired music played with talented musicians, sung by a surprising good vocalist, delightful guitar riffs, hard rocking bass playing and the drumming of one of the good drummers of all times. Pete Fine - On a Day of Crystaline Thought (1974)
>Psychedelic Rock, Psych Folk
Pete Fine was the guitarist in heavy psychedelic rock band The Flow when he envisioned a semi classical, psych concept album. In 1974, after the breakup of his band, he would make it. Phased drums and guitar, compressed vocals, gorgeous female harmonies, what more could you ask for in an album?

Agitation Free - Malesch (1972)
>Krautrock, Space Rock, Acid Psych
An amazing story behind this exceptional slice of Krautrock. The band members travelled to Egypt and composed music based on their experiences there, interweaving field recordings made in Egypt into their compositions. Guitar drones and early synthesizer experiments make up the bulk of this, but there’s enough room for soaring, proggy rifferama for songs like “Rücksturz” here too.

As for what it is, the genre is usually called Psychobilly.
Basically speedy jazz with deathmetal-esque texts.
<blog>
Their earliest albums (Brought Back To Life and Demons Are a Girls Best Friend) are their best ones on my opinion. The later ones grew on me after listening to them a couple times, but I didn't like them initially.</blog>
Would spoiler but I can't remember if /mu/ has spoiler tags.

very very much appreciated

it really is startlingly simple, I felt the same way
also, on the subject of deezloader - just for the record to whoever is in charge of the pastebins (Prismadoll?) all the magma stuff is on deezloader, but my internet connection is too shit to upload it to mega or anything within a reasonable time frame, so if anybody wants to help us fill out the magma discography that would be halpful

Dave Bixby - Ode to Quetzalcoatl (1969)
>Singer/Songwriter, Psychedelic Folk
A lost gem of private '60s psychedelia, Dave Bixby's debut solo effort is a lonely affair to be sure. With only acoustic guitar in hand, the songwriter penned this album in about a month in reaction to a year of drug abuse. Having filled his head with plenty of acid, the songs here serve as an intimate portrait of an unhinged victim of counterculture. Some of the more depressing music folk has to offer, but still has some psych elements to keep you entertained throughout.

Loop - Heaven's End (1987)
>Neo-Psychedelia, Space Rock, Shoegaze, Drone
Droning, kaleidoscopic, narcotized psych rock. Sounds like a whole bunch of psychedelics and a handful of downers. This is one of the best examples I've ever heard of garage drone/psych, and to compare it to the Spacemen and find it lacking is to miss the point. Loop is what you listen to when you're driving around at 2AM looking to score, Spacemen 3 is what you listen to 2 hours later. Both are indispensable for all connoisseurs of pharmaceutical inspired--and pharmaceutically challenged--music. Fans of Spacemen 3 and Spiritualized: get in the fucking van.

Randy Holden - Population II (1970)
>Hard Rock, Heavy Psych
If you're at all into old school heavy rock/metal or stoner vibes in general, you've probably heard whispered rumors about this record over the years. Essential early doom rock by an ex-Blue Cheer member (for one side of a Blue Cheer album, but what a side......) and a drummer. Doomy, loud, distorted, and heavy...... what more can you ask for? Just two guys and their instruments of choice, laying the foundation for future ultra-heavy doom and stoner music.

Jacks - Vacant World (1968)
>Psychedelic Rock, Group Sounds, Pop
A stone-cold classic album. The sound here is like early American rock and roll (think Phil Spector girl group melodies) combined with the feverish rock intensity that would find its most complete incarnation in Keiji Haino's Fushitsusha. Jacks played depressi-psych years before it was cool. Vacant World is their first album. The songs are all folky and poppy with depressive/psych undercurrents there to keep the listener on edge and feeling bad over the course of the album. he arrangements are spare, and the production is garagey, so they often sound like they're recording in a big, empty room. The songs are mid-tempo, mid-60s rockers and dirges - but with a unique sound.

It's totally different from what I expected.
Very good.
wondering if anybody has any fast-paced, virtuoso upbeat jazz they'd like to share. been listening to Return to Forever lately and I love this style of jazz-rock fusion. you don't even have to upload it, if it's something i could find on rutracker or whatever i'll be happy, i am just painfully unfamiliar with jazz
