See this is annoying because that's what I wanted from an artist called Father John Misty. I expected a sort of folky gruff fellow who took a bit of work to get into but instead it's just normal music for normal people. The singing is normal, the lyrics are normal, the music is normal. The sentence 'this person wrote a song' has never been more true for anyone than it has for FJM.
