Best enjoyed with a full stereo system. I hear that his live shows are better than studio albums. Maybe consider listening to one of his albums he made with various gear instead of just his laptop. Try out a Boris + Merzbow collab album.

Yeah Pulse Demon is always the one getting name dropped but it's pretty bland.

When I was depressed in high school last year I lied down on the couch and blasted the Merzbox. as I rested my eyes. It is great music for meditation.
