Anyone here like sunshine pop?
I never knew there was a specific name for it, but it turns out that I love the genre. I always enjoyed that happy yet melancholic and dark feeling in many of the songs. The tracks are even better when a bit of psych rock is added to the mix.
Any recommendations or favorites?
Pic related, one of the most popular examples.
Would you fug the fat chick, OP?
Pic related and Present Tense by Sagittarius are well regarded cult classics, and deservedly so. Begin is fucking fantastic, one of my favorite albums of all time.
Also, Michelle Phillips is GOAT 60s waifu
I Like The Beach Boys. Do they count?

I'll have to check them out more. I heard a few songs from Begin in some playlist I was listening a while ago, they were indeed god tier.

For sure. They're partially responsible for the sound, namely the vocal harmonies becoming a thing.

Funny, but true.

Sounds great. Warm is the perfect way to describe the sound. It's kinda like the Phil Spector sound, but more comfy.

Thanks, just listening to a few tracks now. Great rec!
The Mama's and Papa's are legit OP. They give me that exact feeling; happy, yet not
