This album is going to be tough to listen to.

Next month, I'm re-listening to the entire Microphones and Mount Eerie discography in preparation for this and reliving all the old feels. I'm ready.
>I have all your clothes away, I'm sorry
>and then you died and I'm left living like this
I had trouble trying not to cry
His giggle at the end of the video absolutely ends me.
Big fans in this thread, have you heard that recent interview Phil did?

I'm seeing him at San Diego. Gonna be heartbreaking if he plays his new songs, which he probably will.

The songs he's released so far are so much sadder than any music I've ever heard before. Most other sad music is enjoyable in some way, like it's calming or melancholy or something but this is just an awful experience. It just makes me imagine losing my loved ones and it feels too real. I have a hard time talking about this music without sounding like I hate it, I don't think Phil fucked up or anything, but listening to it is really an awful experience. That's probably what Phil was going for though.

Damn this interviewer is pretty shit IMO. Sounds really pushovery and doesn't really ask questions half the time. Also seems like he's just asking whatever he's wondering about rather than actually asking interesting questions.
