What should I be looking for in an amplifier stand for a 2 x 12? All the ones I see online look flimsy as shit AND they're kind of expensive.

In terms of budget I'd say up to about £600 (about $750). Don't really care about tremolos as I'll likely hardly use it if at all so dont really care if it doesnt have one. not a huge fan of fender strats.

They were originally meant to be the "affordable" guitar for people learning back in the day and then people fell for the memestang and now they're fucking expensive. A little less versatile than a strat but you can still put a humbucker in there if you want which is nice.

A lot of people will want an amplifier for its base characteristics and color it to their liking with pedals.
Take my chart for instance, I love the distortion I get from the Laney AOR, but I run that along with my MIG50 which is a very loud clean amp so that I can get the main distortion from the AOR which isn't as inhibited by the pedals and I also get the sound of the pedals from the MIG50.
So it's up to the preference of the player, some people prefer the amp on its own, others like a base amp to build upon. I like to do both for an interesting mix.
