Does the nationality of an artist impact your opinion on them?
For example, if MC Ride was Indian, would you like DG more or less? Take in mind the songs would sound exactly the same.
who gives a shit
I really like black people, so, yes, it would matter big time. It would be even worse if he was white honestly. Black people just have that energy and real ness and intensity that other races cannot have. They also look cooler and have better style. I wish I was black honestly and that's part of why I'm so thankful for the existence of DG, Kanye, etc.
if black/indian artists were white, would sites like pitchfork still shill them with the same intensity?

doesn't make a really difference unless they're the minority of a scene i.e. giving an example and bucking the norm. So yeah i'll give more props for their guts but you'd have to be fucking stupid to have it change your opinion of the music

WHEN WILL PITCHFORK STOP SHILLING INDIAN POP MUSIC AND GIVE THE WHITE PEOPLE A CHANCE

Why would it
Maybe some of the more tolerant music review sites might slightly change their opinions but i dont think it would make a difference
