Found him dead in the back yard one morning, he hung himself from a tree, which is kind of....oddly and morbidly fitting, seeing as I met him in a tree when we were kids. He was building a tree fort and I was tearing it down and breaking all the branches so he couldn't get down we were shit heads and it was the best.

So, the first time I met him was in a tree, and the last time I'd ever see him would be in a tree damn...never thought about that untill now

You can never be ready for it. My buddy was the first person I lost, but I lost a lot of friends after in rapid succession, murders, accidents and a lot of suicides we had a bad suicide epidemic in our small town.

But you never can prepare yourself for it, even when it happens so much to the point you're not even surprised anymore. Even then, it still fucks you up good.

Back when Death Grips released the video for On GP, I was hanging with my best friend. We were both into Death Grips. I remember his house having shit internet. I hooked up my laptop with an HDMI cord to his TV and we'd let the video buffer while we looked at the group sitting inside the echo chamber. We ended up enjoying the song in pieces as it buffered and eventually the whole thing when it finished. Still a really great track.

we both had the same taste in music, so really anything brings up some memories.

On Melancholy Hill was played at my friends funeral after he commited suicide. Can't listen to it anymore without welling up, was impacted as fuck

Not lost him yet but I would ride with my grandpa in his truck and he would play these songs. I'm gonna fucking cry my eyes out when he passes. He's getting to his time.
