About to finally give this a go
Mono or Stereo for this album?
and Mono or Stereo in general for The Beatles?
I don't think it would effect your listening experience that much but my first listen was on Mono.
I thought the album was fantastic, either way.
Mono
Stereo for Revolver and onwards
Of course you can always listen to both and pick your favorite, but for me mono doesn't do their musical ideas justice past a certain point. Yes some stereo mixes are awful but some are excellent and breathe new life into the songs

Have you listened to other Beatles albums from before this one yet? If not I recommend starting on Rubber Soul and going chronologically.
I prefer stereo but I'm in the minority on that one. The Beatles intended their music to be listened to in mono however, so maybe just go with that.

Anything before revolver should be listened in mono

Stereo legit sounds better for the beatles, pet sounds, etc.
I'm usually a purist and I tried to force myself to love mono but I had to be honest and stereo sounds miles better.

I kinda like mono for the Beatles. Even for post-Revolver. Helter Skelter and Guitar Gently Weeps mono sound amazing
Since it was brought up, Pet Sounds sounds better in stereo for me... it brings out the instrumentals more

Unless you have an original vinyl pressing the version you're listening to will likely be remastered for stereo. So stereo.
