What's the saddest Bob Dylan album?
Like, all the songs are depressing or bittersweet, preferably from his golden age, of course

It's, Blood on the Tracks.>>70997520
John Wesley Harding is pretty dark
Blood on the Tracks for sure
Followed by Another Side Of Bob Dylan followed by any of the 90s-00s albums

Freewheeling is the ultimate sad Dylan album. I listened to that more than blood on the tracks when I broke up with my ex .

which every one got him that prize
not his 'prime' per se, but Time Out of Mind is IMO one of the best albums about aging that exists.
girl from north country always gets me.
Never really think of his stuff as sad necessarily, some of the content is sad, usually there's some good armslengthing happening though, never tear-jerking-schmaltzy imo

Agree
world gone wrong
planet waves
witmark demos has a lot of good ones
"mississippi" is his all-time greatest sad song, preferably tell tale signs version #1
I'm not there (1956)
the bootleg version from the basement tapes complete.
probably the saddest song I've heard by him.
