I always wondered why out of all indie bands p4k seemed to really want tegan and sara to fail until they went pop. It's even more baffling when you considered that outside of them they had a massive soft spot for Canadian indie in particular.

Well I mean Sainthood and everything after have gotten above a 7. Not amazing but much better than The Con and So Jealous. I still think Pitchfork doesn't like them that much. Maybe Schreiber had a bad personal experience with them that's simmered down recently.
