now that the dust has settled, can we all agree this is actually really good
this album got me into music and it's very nostalgic for me so yeah ,it's really good
cementeries of london and 42 are my favorites

Mylo Xyloto is better. Got me through some tough times.
Joe Satriani's worst LP imo

Got me into music too anon
My favourites are Lovers in Japan and Strawberry Swing but I don't really dislike any track
frank ocean's strawberry swing is better

I'm surprised so many of us had the same experience w this album. Favs were lovers in japan and death and all his friends. Yes is a really shitty track but chinese water chant (the hidden track) sort of redeems it.
Look. This album is a fucking 10/10. I don't care if it sounds like U2 because it's better than anything U2 ever did.
Their first two albums were better imo. I didn't like anything they've released this decade.
10/10

Same here guys
This was their last good album to me, after what they became totally fucked up

yup, p much. side note, super colossal is one of those songs that can always make me happy even when i'm in the shittiest of moods. I just put it on, pick up my guitar and play along.

Yes, as is their first 3 before this one

I don't mind Yes but it is definitely the weakest on the album. I like the deeper vocals and the strings before the chorus, and obviously Chinese Sleep Chant is an outstanding track.
I don't like all of cold plays stuff but viva la vida is a personal 10 for me. It comes together so perfectly as an album. The emotions it makes you feel are life affirming. Some albums you listen to to feel sad and some to feel happy. This is the latter. The crescendo in Death and All His Friends is like the only musical moment that brings me to tears. It's such a shame none of their other albums sound anything like this one.
This is just such a great album. It didn't necessarily do anything new, but it was Coldplay at their best.

Their first album was fucking amazing, but Viva la Vida is still a great album nevertheless IMO.
