Rare moment when the cover is better than original.

/mu/ plebs think becuase johnny had a popular video on some shit TV that makes it a better track.
>toned it down for TV and radio play - removed words like "Shit"
Hurt was the absolute low point of TDS (and I mean that in a good way), the end of a man being broken. It had intense meaning and Reznor wrote and played it from the sou of a truly broken man. Cash just did a mediocre cover.
/mu/ is a bunch of plebs so I expect them to prefer the cover, the same way they prefer kanye west and taylor swift over Bach and Schoenberg

Name calling just gets them to agree with you more! Good job!
>open strapoll thinking /mu/ wont disappoint me this time
nope. still full of plebs

Holy shit, you guys are a bunch of plebs.

to be fair Trent still loves the cover and says it isn't his song anymore because cash covered it.
>>70913144
What if they're really not?
>>70913199
That's just Trent being nice... He knows his is better
>>70913199
Thats wild that he would say that considering how emotional and personal the song was to Trent
>>70913209
Trent has complemented artists shamelessly before especially those who relate to his work he wasn't just 'nice' to bowie when he said he loved his catalog or just 'liked' skinny puppy and their influence on industrial music
>>70913236
not the same anon but fair point
I like trent's better of course
Is this covers better than original thread?

>Trent version is too edgy
>Johnny Cash version doesn't make sense 'cuz the lyrics are too edgy for an old man to be singing them
I chose "they're both good."

I love the Sisters but you're talking about arguably the best Stones song here.
