Why is it so fucking hard to find sound clips of Fishman's 8 string pickups?

The multi-voice thing has got me interested, as well as the non traditional pickup technology.

Might just order a set and return them if they're shit.

Yes, i got a used squier VM jaguar for $120 (wouldnt pay full price for a meme guitat 2bh). Pretty good action, pretty solid good guitar, doesnt feel cheap, and no big problems with the bridge, intonation or saddles using 11 gauge strings (problems you could get with a 1500 $ avri anyway). Spent another $ 50 to get the avri pickups and now i have a 170$ dolars meme guitar kciking ass and only marginally worse than the $ 1500 meme guitar (and sounding the same). You can get shitty squiers, you have to try and search for the good ones.

Boss or Behringer?
>>

There are a lot of good Boss pedals. The only problem with Boss is if you have a pedal board full of them, it's going to affect your dry signal because of all the bypass buffers.
>>
>>70884026

Yeah, there used to be a luthier/amp repair shop ran by a friend of mine here, every time a Rickendicker bass or Jazzmaster guit came in he'd phone me up to try it out before he turned it back to the owner.

The scale is a bit weird to get used to after playing Fenders and the bodies are a bit unwieldly on the ones with binding, but the sound is to die for man. I still find 'em comfortable enough.

Yet, it doesn't sound like those, so this is not an argument.

It has a very unique timbre to it, and sounds fantastic in certain applications. Especially when teemed up with a modulation pedal, it gives some phrases a very unique flavor that other pedals won't do.

Just because you don't have a use for it, doesn't mean it's bad. it's just that you don't seem to have the creativity to put it to good use.

This is the fedora opinion you retard. Just google it and youll find plenty of fedora fags shitting on "tube elitist" for having money to buy better amps (which are used like by the great majority of pros). Maybe they dont sound that $ 1000 better but that is another discussion and you have to consider the law of diminishing returns which applies in plenty much everything. The same with fender, gibson. Pedals are good (specially whem used to crank a TUBE AMP) but being a pedal freak and getting all your one from it is pleb tier as fuck. Finger style is pretty traditional and established as a cool time proven technique, but are some techs like slap guitar and sweep picking which belong there. I agree with everything else.

Look it up. They go for approx $90.

See: http://tonereport.com/blogs/tone-tips/in-defense-of-the-boss-metal-zone

Again, I don't play metal, but I find the timbre of it remarkably unique when taken out of a metal context and paired with modulations. Again, if you can't make anything sound good, you probably were not very creative to begin with. I'd blame yourself, not the Metal Zone.

I always laugh when I see some dumb shit buy a cheap guitar and immediately start "upgrading" it. They usually start by asking for replacement pickup suggestions. It's like why, you dumb fuck? Why did you buy a guitar you didn't think sounded good to begin with? I'll tell you why: because you don't know what the fuck you're doing and you have no clue what the fuck you're after. You bought some retarded piece of shit because of how it looked in a picture on the internet and then when you got it home and actually played it ..it sounded and played like straight up ass. So you started "upgrading" it instead of admitting to yourself that you don't know shit and made a mistake, or that the guitars construction was so shitty that you didn't have any other choice but to "upgrade" it to make it a playable instrument. Here's the thing though: you could have just saved all the time and money you sank/wasted into "upgrading" a piece of shit and just bought a decent guitar to begin with. You bedroom warriors are a hilarious lot, watching you flail about trying to polish turds into diamonds. If a diamond is what you wanted why didn't you just go out and buy a diamond to begin with?

I can't tell you about the rest of /mu/ but I think flamed maple is pretty ugly/gaudy and so many PRSs come with that ostentatious shit. They also have a reputation as lawyer guitars and numetal guitars. A lot of people dislike the headstocks. Finally, some people think the 25" scale and middle-of-the-road pickups lead to a sound with no character.

I think they're great guitars from a build quality perspective. I have owned 2 US made PRSs with plain tops--a McCarty Korina Soapbar and a Hollowbody Spruce. the McKorina is the best guitar I've ever played and still have it, the Hollowbody was the most expensive guitar I ever owned but it sounded flat and dead and I sold it after a year. I also have an SE 277 with flamed maple (regret that decision) that is extremely well made.

Where to start with this ...

His "wood library" - read the webshite, he pretends to have a secret stash of "prime tonewoods". The idea that a guitar should cost $30,000. The fact that he makes guitars that are so overpriced only dentists buy them, then hang them on the walls of their mancaves and never play them because one tiny dent in the finish knocks $5000 of the "value".

Mahogany, ash and alder were originally used for electric guitars for one reason and that's because they are fucking cheap and plentiful. Ok, two reasons, reasonably strong too. If that wood wasn't being made into PRS Private Stock Wood Library shit guitars then it'd be making Ikea furniture.

If you're quick you might have time to run off some tired old blues riffs on your PRS before you need to work on the next patient's premolars.

Don't wear down the bird inlays though. Got to protect that overpriced investment.

I started with Doom back when I was a deathcore babby, and it's still a guilty pleasure. For some reason I could never connect with any of their other albums until Sun Eater came out. I'm still hoping they'll get their shit together and pull out a belated Sun Eater tour, it's a crime they haven't done it yet

I think it can be done in paint but I'm here on a macbook. Either preview blows or I am technologically illiterate, or both.

Why is it that power chords on higher strings are barely used?
I like them and play them in combination with triads.
>>
>>70886101
You can do it in Preview. All you need to do is copy an image from a separate preview window, resize, and drop it in the template
>>
>>70886101

Use Acorn on MacOS, if you can afford 20 bucks or whatever it costs. If not, Gimp?

Have you been on Megadeth Boot Camp? You can have a guitar clinic with Dave Mustaine where he complains 3 hours about Metallica and then he pours A Tout Le Monde on Junior's bass pickups
>>
>>70886434
So you love all the other random shitty "music" that all these faggots post in this thread. If i have to hear any more shitty kiss covers, shredding over jazz, "check out this totally original pentatonic riff donut steel" playing the pedal board i think i might shoot a dummy missile at israel they fire back and wipe everyone out. That way only crazyaga will be left but there will be no one to give him yous.

Seriously though, it sounds shitty but it sounds as shitty as everything else here.
