Why is this board so defensive about the most surface level punk

But punk is pretty shallow and is best summed up by the Sex Pistols. Punk is more of an event than a genre, 1977 happened and the stale musical landscape was rewritten but any good punk with lasting appeal was more than basic punk

reminder that if you listen to anything besides ambient/drone in 2017 then you're a complete waste of space.
