allmusic.com and play everything on their weekly new releases list till you find stuff you like. Shit has zero filters, and two ratings: critic and audience. And you can filter.
Just 1 song or less usually tells you if it's at least a style you like. Throw the whole album on till you have to turn it off or it sucks.
Works for me and I have like 3 gfs and a sweet '12 camery.
