Where did I say that? Do you have trouble reading?

The person I replied to implied that the mexi mustangs are the best fenders ever made.

I then posed a question as to why people think budget instruments are anything more than budget instruments.

Since you took the time to reply to me perhaps you could answer that question.

I programmed a drum track for like rats by godflesh, i was going to record it tomorrow and post it here so the 8 people who still come here can make fun of me so i stop liking metal again.

I practiced piano earlier, organized my 4 boxes of cables into 6 slighlty more organized cables(do the xlr to trs cables go woth xlr or trs? Or do the 2 i got deserve their own box?)

I also set aside the parts i need to build an autowah, which i would have started but i also decided to practice my drinking.

Now im seeing if my buddies are going out later and seeing if one of them can pick me up cause i dont drive drunk(im not, but the law will see.it differently).

i have $225 to spend on pedals, what should i get

already have tuner, wah, and looper. my amp has digital compression/reverb/delay so i dont think i need any of those right now. thinking most about a boost/overdrive to push some lead tones with.

recs? i play mostly 60s/70s rock/country.

things on the list:
>tmg selma
>wampler paisley drive
>ibenis ts808
>fulltone ocd
>tce spark
>xotic boost

this is your wheelhouse /gg/, lend a hand. or tell me im totally off base if you can give me better recs or explain why i need some other type of pedal entirely

I've been working on this supremely cheesy instrumental. Classical guitar, electric guitar, bass, and E. piano. I'm trying to experiment with progressions that change scale often but don't feel too awkward. I'm also trying to get a hang of plucking on the bass instead of picking. It's a bit more difficult than I thought it would be, dynamics are fluctuating more than I'd like

>>70794753
It's more about how you connect the chords. But a quick shortcut is to use a lot of major and minor 7s and 9s. Also chord progressions that leave strings open tend to have a dreamy sound

For example:
0 2 4 1 0 0 (Eadd9)
0 3 5 2 0 0 (Cmaj7add6/E)
x 4 6 8 0 0 (C#m9)
x 3 5 7 0 0 (Cmaj9)

And I'm still surprised at how great this lil monster is.

I believe they should have some similarities so here is my review:
Great clean channel with 6L6.
If you put nice valve, it's basically Fender clean.
A friend as a HRD, and the bugera does not pale in comparison.
Awesome gain channel, my friend's HRD has such a shit gain channel in comparison.

And it takes the pedals perfectly.

I Think the V5 as EL84 like the V22, so if you cannot find good video of the V5, check the V22

Literally everything, I've been debating putting a humbucker in the bridge (it's currently SSS) so it's better suited towards harder stuff, but I think I like single coil bridge too much. I'm really torn between genres that I can't really decide. But for one thing, I think single coil by itself is a bit too noisy for my liking (most of the time I'm playing in position 2 or 4).

Perhaps I should probably play more, but man I'm so undecisive.

Also I play through a Vox AC30.

Guitar Fetish is CRAP
Guitar Fetish is TRASH

I bought this one tremolo http://guitarfetish.com/Vintage-Tremolo-fits-Mexican-Korean-Chinese-made-guitars_p_844.html

They say its steel but look what it is? It is iron with a chrome layer over it!
After one month the shit was all iron-coloured dents showing what it is really made of!
CRAP!

Also look at the bridge plate! It is rust just like the saddles. You can see the height-ajustment screws path showing the actual orange metal

I'd rather have bought a SQUIER bridge cause they at least are actual steel

What is this strange Roland thing? A pickup? A sustainer?
>>
>>70799251
Midi pickup
>>
>watch guitar cover on youtube to learn a song
>is has all types of fancy video editing
every time
>>
>>70799251
The guitar is a Fender "Powered by Roland" GC-1 Strat with a Roland GK pickup factory fitted. Lets you send each string to a guitar synth for individual processing. So you can do things like transpose each string up or down two octaves, brilliant for instantly changing tunings.
>>
>>70799274
>every time
I haven't seen a single cover with fancy editing ever
at most maybe an intro with a fadeout from the album cover
>>
>>70799265
Guitar to MIDI is a complete waste of time. Even with the best gear, it never triggers fast enough and you always have to go in and edit out the false triggers and ghost notes. I just use the GK pickup to drive a Boss GP-10 for the COSM string transpose, acoustic simulation and12-string effects. Instant baritone guitar, 12 string, simulates humbuckers, single coils, telecasters, anything you want.
>>
>>70799312
I mean stuff like cutting every three seconds or putting on an over the top filter during chorus or solo
>>
>>70799420
Thats still midi
>>
>>70795366
a jcm800 is perfect for what you're going for. there's literally no reason to get 100w over a 50w. 50w will still be way too loud for regular home use. if you can afford all this and are just really set on a big marshall head you'll probably want an attenuator.
>>
>>70799455
No it isn't. The GP-10 can do pitch to MIDI but I use it for COSM amp modelling which is not MIDI.
>>
>>70799485
Midi isnt just bleeps and bloops. It can used for anything from the timing of lights to switching effects in a rig.
>>
>>70799532
Yet his pedal isnt MIDI it just modulates the sound
>>
>>70799051
What is it? You couldnt play blues when it was trendy when you were young?
>>
>>70799532
Well ok, the patch change can be controlled over MIDI and you can affect patch parameters with MIDI. But the sound generation is from a DSP chip, same as a delay pedal and you wouldn't call that a MIDI sound source.
>>
>>70799562
By transfering data from a reciever through a midi cable to a midi converter.

Musical Instrument Digital Interface
>>

It doesn't use any MIDI to do the amp modelling.

And you should know you're talking to someone who has designed and build MIDI equipment.

Its time for moot to take off the anonimity for /gg/ threads
You write /gg/ on the new thread and it automatically makes it easier for you avatarfagging and personality talking

How do these work? They convert the note pitch from the sound picked by the regular magnetic pickup?
Or the notes are picked up electronically with special strings or something?
>>
>>70800175
There's a hex pickup near the bridge that detects the pitch of each string, see
>>70798963

That plugs into a 13-pin cable that goes to a MIDI convertor, the conertor measures the pitch of each string and outputs digital information to trigger synths

Hex pickup next to the bridge, 13-pin socket on the lower bout, up/down momentary buttons for patch change, toggle switch selects guitar/MIDI/both.

Just found an old recording of me from over 10 years ago on a multi effects unit with a looper/recorder built in. I had maybe been playing guitar for a year with no lessons. Its horrible, powerchords through a highgain amp model and a high gain distortion pedal, heavily noise gated

>>70800406
it's your civic duty to upload it to clypit so we can all enjoy it

that I recorded some time in 2001... on Windows '98 Sound Recorder, by plugging the guitar directly into the soundcard's Line-In? I would have been about 16 at the time, therefore playing guitar for maybe 2 years. (Still never had an actual lesson tho)

Just wanking up and down the blues scale all day

I mean, is it so difficult to actually play a song? Or, y'know, even write something new?

Oscilattions cause muh phone mic. Dug out an old behringer bass amp to play ot through because its the only amp i have from that point in my life. Guitar was probably a $120 plexiglass flying v from ebay.

well your guitar's in tune, it's not hideously distorted to fuck and you're playing a pretty competent rhythm pattern with no bad mistakes, keeping time properly, what's the problem? sounds absolutely fine to me, you've got left hand chord damping sorted, not bad for one year of playing

I did remaster it and eliminate those a while back (idk why I did that instead of just re-recording it desu) and I just figured out I must have recorded it in 2002, judging by the October 2002 date stamp on when I uploaded it to GeoCities. kek. I'd link you the original from a GeoCities archive, but I'd dox myself if I did.

Here's a remastered copy I mixed into fake stereo from the original mono recording:

Yeah same. It's easier to write it out and play it on the instrument you mainly use.

It'd make sense if you played some other instrument, but guitar is already so similar to keyboard there is no point.

Me again. Day 5 of waiting on this in the mail.

I pay $100 australian dollar. That is very good because this usually sell for $1500 australian dollar.

I like to use 2 wahs at once and say ha, there you go Kirk Hammett beat that.

So yeah waiting on this to arrive at my house and I am very excited for it to come so I can play it.
