This same sort of attitude does exist among sax player and trumpet players. It's a little less prevalent because the music generally requires you to learn enough that you realize how bad you are but there are tonnes of piss poor armature and professional free jazz and fusion saxophonists who think "feel" is more important than being good at their instrument.
