>find a song I really like
>have to ration my plays of it so I don't get tired of it in a week

Anyone else have this feel?
>>
Nope. I play something till I hate it
>>
I haven't listened to most of my favorite albums since the week I discovered them.

I just recently really got into Radiohead and have already played them 400 or so times in the past week.

Give it 1 more week and i will be hating them.

I play it like I'm on a bender until I can never listen to it again in my life.
>>
I do this with bands I like. Listen to their discographies a good few times then take a break from them to make sure I don't get sick of them. Go back a few weeks or months later and it floors me all over again. Seems to be a good system

If you grow to hate the music you like you're just a degenerate who isn't loyal to yourself.
>>
I've never found a song I like
>>
I wish I had that level of self control, I just play it until it's stuck in my head and I hear it in my mind 24/7 until I can't stand it.

But growing to no longer enjoy something you enjoy a lot due to overexposure is literally how the human brain works. It's why you need to take more and more drugs to feel the same high

maybe if you're a pleb who doesn't form emotional connections to the music you listen to and build respect for the artists who create it.
