Why are Status Quo such a popular band? Their music is genuinely the most boring I've ever heard.

I don't even dislike most dadrock, but Status Quo somehow manage to keep filling out stadium gigs on snoozers like 'Rocking All Over the World'. Genuinely, how can a song about ROCKING ALL OVER THE WORLD be so dull?

But a lot of their stuff is pretty good. Pictures of Matchstick Men was brilliant and stuff like Down Down are great songs as well. By '77 they were getting past their best anyway.
