>do some shitty cher pub music acoustic cover
>make it to 6 or whatever on the Triple J Top 100
Happy invasion day
>getting butt hurt over the hottest 100
>>70674539
At least the other 99 put effort into their songs, whether you like them or not
>>70674562
i still don't care, it's a fan vote. let them vote for whoever the fuck they want
>>70674579
Sure, but why? None of them would have battered an eyelid if he'd played this down at their local pub on a Saturday arvo.
The Hottest 100 hasn't been relevant for at least 20 years.
>>70674637
Was it ever relevant?
is like a version still just an expanded version of suburban white girls on youtube cooing songs in their expensive bedroom?
particularly the ones operating on a razer thin level of irony because the song is a rap song that clearly isn't meant to be sung like a lullaby
>>70674650
It genuinely was. In the early 1990's, it was arguably the finest music-based poll in the world. Then, in my humble and unknowledgable opinion, "mainstream" and "original" music began drifting away from each other, and the Hottest 100 slowly became a reflection of mainstream music as opposed to the latter.
Still, what magnificent times I had in its early days.
>>70674610
you could say the same thing about half of the artists in the top 100
>>70674668
do you know what relevant means?
it sounds like you just stopped liking it.
>>70674677
Shoo shoo millenial babby
>i stopped liking something, that means everyone in the world also stopped liking it
>>70674669
It stings more than those other irrelevant dudes in this instance because it sounds exactly the same as a version of that song they do down at the pub, if that makes any sense.
this is great, anyone know anything about this band?
>>70674877
i think they hang out outside my local woolies
>>70674504
you're right op. luca brasi's like a version was much better.
