Compared to Heroin? Heroin was terrifying soul shaking stuff, especially if you've dabbled and you understand what he's saying. Not to mention the crazy shit Cale does with his viola. The narrator outright says he doesn't give a fuck about anything and gets thrills touching death.

walkin with jesus is more poppy but its not like its not any less life affirming. i think transparent radition is a much better 'peaking' song than heroin, in my honest opinion

IMO Transparent Radiation is amazing but it seems more about the effects and feeling of the drug whereas those other two tracks are different, more about exploring the psychological/societal aspect of why someone would do heroin. Hope that makes sense.
