When it became the ED for the first part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Western anime fans have always been meme spouting subhumans but for some reason JJBA attracted the worst of these and has never truly recovered. For a while it wasn't too bad since the average weeaboo doesn't read much manga (don't know why) so people could read JJBA as it was being scanlated while,only having to tolerate ancient memes from the video games, but the anime basically killed that.

With scanlators being more common now than they were in early internet days I don't think we need licensed manga anymore. And with something like JJBA they will take out all the band names and shit. I think now with Part 5 almost having been re-done we have more or less the whole thing accurately translated. The Duwang memes were also terrible and still haven't gone away, but they aren't nearly as bad as the "Josuke went back in time to help himself" shitty headcanon thing that has become somehow more unbearable since the anime started.

Part 4 salvaged it for me but it was also my second (maybe third now) favourite manga part. Anime for Part 1 was as good as you can make it given that it had zero budget and was almost a powerpoint presentation at times, but it had fantastic directing. Part 2 anime wasn't as good since it had the same lack of budget but less decent directing not to mention it is the most overrated part by far (all those people who claim Joseph is a unique MC should realise he is a shittier version of Juuza from FotNS). Part 3 had atrocious pacing and shitty stands until Egypt but it's to be expected since Araki was still figuring out stands, the last fight was cool though. Part 4 managed to fix all the problems of the previous two parts but did skip a few small things and played around with the order of a couple of chapters.

Part 3 is pretty bad outside of maybe 3 or so fights. If you can beieve it, the anime improved on a fair bit of it (apart from the final and best fight which the anime couldn't possibly make better on it's shoestring budget). It's just really poorly paced.
