I feel like its the 70s
it was the perfect decade for music. Hear me out before you call me dad and tell me to fuck off
coming off the back of the hippies and psychedelic era you have many artists and intellectuals striving to explore new sonic territories with and without the political nonsense that came with the mid to late 60s stuff
It was also a decade where the amount of technology was equal with the creativity and technical skill of the artists
many of my favorite albums come from other decades but I feel that the 70s is truly the best decade for music

I'd go as far as to say that music in the 70s is what almost all modern music is based upon, even the electronic stuff.

Electronic music was at it's peak in the 2000's so that's my favorite decade.
