Yo im three tracks in and this stuff is just some watered down versions of their former material I am beyond disappointed so far

They have a really basic formula, so if you like Japandroids songs, these are some more of them.

I kinda disagree. In some songs, yes, you can see them sticking to the formula, but in others you see them trying new things (and, to me at least, falling flat on their faces). Also, there's clearly a new aesthetic approach that differs from their usual sound, and I think that also adds up to my general disappointment with the record.

The last tour they went on had like, 200 or so dates. Non-stop gigging pretty much blew out all their gears so they took the last couple years off.
