Does anyone else think that Tre should've ditched Green Day a long time ago? He's phenomenal at the drums and him continuing to slave away for a shitty pop """punk""" opera band is just wasted potential.

>phenomenal
I mean... He's not shit...
Mike is really the only good member
He deserves better
I find Tre's drumming to be so fucking boring.
Travis Barker is much much better.
I just wish Green Day hadn't become such fucking hacks after American Idiot. Billie Joe is fucking moron and his political rants are insufferable.

>tfw you realize hes only in it for the millions of dollars

this

>slave away
one cool thing about green day that I admire is they split everything even, can't remember the source but that makes sense. lots of bands the songwriter jews over the rest of the guys. sure, green day have sucked big time since Warning but i have to give it to Billie Joe for doing the right thing

Tre is so much better than travis barker it's not even close. There are lots of speedy drummers with chops playing that kind of music, but I'm hard pressed to think of a better drummer in pop punk than Tre Cool. he's the real deal. Green Day, even though their songs are "easy", are a very professional sounding band live and a big part of that is Tre as the foundation

Its not though.. literally one guy does all the writing for the band, why should he not receive more compensation?

because it's a dick move and the reason most bands break up. If you treat a band like a partnership it works out better for everyone, especially when everyone in the band slums it out sleeping in vans and on floors for years getting the message out before you "get big"
it's a dick move to not cut them in.

*not the reason most bands break up but definitely a common reason amongst successful bands

Tell it to Metallica, hippy.
