How did you first hear about 4chan and why is /mu/ your favorite board right now?
what is a 4chan
heard about 4chan from a crappy forum and got addicted ever since and i love music so /mu/ is naturally my habitat
cool thread deserves more replies
Edgy alt-right friend
mu mostly sux, it was always hard to find decent music here

what's your favorite swans album?
Heard about this shithole from a friend at school when I was 13
I'm 24 now. Fuck.

Heard about it through some online talk about the early raids. Started lurking then posting on /b/ in like 06/07ish cause it was a good outlet for all my edgy teenage bullshit. Stuck to /b/ for a couple years then tried out /mu/ cause I play guitar and drums and shit but my taste was pretty pleb back then so I hated /mu/ cause I saw it as entirely elitist, patronising hipsters (I still hate /mu/ but I'm just as bad as all of you guys now). Started browsing other boards like /tv/, /sp/, /fit/ and a few others before coming back to /mu/ when my tastes in music grew. Now I'm back, stuck in the cycle of shitposting about 21 pilots and memeing milky airplane hotels.

haha, nice
Heard about 4chan from the boxxy controversy.
I read about how her youtube account got hacked and was thinking "these fucking nerds think they're so cool... I'll check this /b/ or whatever out"
That was mid 2009. And since then I never left.
I found /mu/ because /b/ was getting boring (it's a shitty porn board at the moment) and it's one of my favourite boards because it was a gateway to great music and memes.

>wasting your youth on 4chan and not when you're 35 onwards when nothing else is happening

This asian kid i worked in the meat department with had a pedo bear sticker on his car. I asked him what it was. He told me about /b/. That was 2010. I naturally stumbled across /mu/ and never looked back. Back in 2010 /mu/ was so cringey. It still is for the most part. Just less memes and Asian shit back then.
>>70384876
My friends, about 6 years ago.
It isn't, because:
>cuck this, cuck that
>waifus
>new (shitty) memes forced everyday
>chart threads and daily where people compete to collect the most obscure music for no good reason
>bandcamp and soundcloud circlejerk
I guess what's nice about mu is prod and guitar general, sharethreads, and the occasional actual music discussion.
boggieman on the internet
/mu/ is fine i guess

/mu/ probably from watching Fantano, Frankjavcee and death grips memes. I started to get youtube recommendations like "/mu/ simulator" and came here out of curiosity last year.
Always thought of 4chan as a place where pedophile neet hackers interact and dox people.
/mu/ has the highest percentage of normalfags, tripfags and redditors of any board.
i got because of le hacker called 4chin. don't remember the year tho.
got into /mu/ because i was really into black metal and i needed recs.
>>70387373
you know a board population is bad when they think that black twitter memes are funny.
>>70384876
/mu/ is one of the worst boards on 4chan.
my friend was talking to someone about boxxy when all that was going down
/mu/ is favorite board because i love music... kind of a dumb question
been on here since 2011
its my fave cause everyone here is more socially aware/normal than the other boards i visit - /tv/ /v/ /jp/ /co/ /pol/
and music is much more expansive of a medium than any of those boards
>>70384876
I've been into internet culture ever since I can remember and when memes went mainstream I heard about /b/, checked it out, and that's it. I liked listening to music so when i grew out of /b/ I gave /mu/ a try and I saw that the board was obsessed with Death Grips as was I so I decided to stay. Learned about a lot of good music but nowadays I'm mostly here because I think anonymity amongst users allows for unique discussions. The concept of 4chan is every artist's dream.

>alt-right
so fetch
I heard about 4chan in passing and went on /b/ a few times in high school but when I went to college in 2011 my friends and I would fuck around on 4chan when we had downtime. I ended up drifting to /mu/ shortly after that since I've always been into music. Haven't left since despite my many attempts to leave.

I was some annoying kid in his early teens who liked memes and found knowyourmeme and came here. Also /mu/ is by far one of the shittiest boards.
>waifufags
>annoying coffeehouse libs who jerk it to shitty and repetitive indie every day
>Emo is actually taken seriously here
>The most boring and stale albums are posted daily without talking about others
>Pitchfork shills come here trying to pass off as the gatekeepers to good music
>Fantano shills come to do the above
I just come here to see if people are discussing Post-Punk or the goths in their /dark/ threads come by to actually discuss music and their music scene.

LOL at the screenshot.
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

Make a change and start a good thread, you lazy fuck.
>>70384876
I started coming here in 2008 because a few people I knew would talk about /b/
>>70388097
>I was some annoying kid
You still are
>>70388249
Why should I make a change? The good threads never last because there's too many of all of the above and I don't come often anyway.

>How did you first hear about 4chan
On some vidya forums I browsed as a teen (back in 2010 or so)
>why is /mu/ your favorite board right now?
it's not, it's a pretty bad board. I just come here for the memes and to call someone a pleb. Best board is /tv/
